In addition to her work in the legal community, Vandenberg has received awards and international acclaim for her work spearheading human rights investigations abroad. She has authored two Human Rights Watch reports and provided testimony on human trafficking issues to the U.S. Congress.

face. Lipenga serves as a survivor-consultant to the Human Trafficking Legal Center in Washington, DC. She has provided training for pro bono lawyers, law students, physicians, law enforcement officials, and federal prosecutors.
