President Travis to Speak About NYC Policing Reform at Colin Powell School

President Jeremy Travis and policing expert Alex Vitale will survey the prospects and challenges of police reform on Thursday, March 13, in an open forum at the University Club hosted by Colin Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership at The City College of New York.

Who: Jeremy Travis, president of John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and Alex Vitale, associate professor of sociology, Brooklyn College
What: “The Political Landscape of Policing Reform in New York City,” a “Conversations with City” breakfast discussion
When: 8 – 10 a.m. Thursday, March 13

The event is the fourth installment in the Powell School’s “Conversations with City” breakfast series. Held in midtown Manhattan, these programs are designed as forums for experts, community leaders, and others attempting to meet the major social challenges of the day, as well as a way to introduce the vital work of the Colin Powell School to the broader New York City community.
