Top of the Class, and Ready to Take on the
World

 The top two students in the Class of
2016 - valedictorian Albin Lepiz and salutatorian Benil Mustafa - are
ready to go forth from John Jay and change the world. They are both
International Criminal Justice majors, and their long-range
professional interests - national security for Lepiz, and human rights
for Mustafa - should prove a complementary and formidable

Literature, Law & Activism: Hallmarks of Class of
2016's Doctoral Honorees

At the 2016 Commencement, John Jay will award honorary
doctorates to a law professor who has pushed the envelope on critical
race theory, Kimberlé Williams Crenshaw, and to the Tony Award-winning
playwright of "The Vagina Monologues", Eve Ensler
- two individuals who share a commitment to being fierce advocates for
