Subject: A Message From Department of Information technology

The College has participated in CUNY-wide Microsoft Campus Agreement for licensing Microsoft software. This agreement will allow all College-wide computers to be in compliance with Microsoft Licensing agreement. This agreement also allows us to provide one home use copy of the software for all faculty and staff members at John Jay. Currently, CUNY-CIS is working on a procedure to distribute the software for home use electronically through a central server. You will be notified as soon as the procedure has been put in place.  

Each campus is entitled to the following licensing for their faculty and staff under this agreement:

* Windows Operating System, Upgrade ( Vista available November, 2006)
* Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, InfoPath, Access, Outlook, Publisher)
* OneNote and Groove (November 2006, as part of Office 2007)
* Core CAL (Client Access License). Exchange, Windows Server, SharePoint, SMS.
