50th Anniversary Film Screening
December 9, 2014
2:30 - 3:00 pm
Atrium
This is an approx. 15-min. film celebrating John Jay College’s first 50 years. It’s the story of the college as told through the stories of people, both those who can illuminate the college’s early years and those who can speak about its community and mission today. Students, faculty, administration, alumni and trustees of the college have been interviewed to get their historical perspective, life stories and anecdotes: where are they are from, what brought them to John Jay, what they have found here, and what their aspirations are.
Annual Day of Giving
December 8, 2014
All Day
We will launch our first annual day of giving to coincide with the Dec. 8 statue unveiling Our plan is to use strategic social media and personal calling programs to communicate to donors, prospects, alumni, faculty and staff the importance of supporting students and the College through gifts to the Annual Fund Campaign and through major giving. We aim to rally this support over a 24-hour period to increase contributions and encourage online donations, especially from new and lapsed donors, and to further cultivate a culture of philanthropy in our campus community.
