Professor David Kennedy, Director of the Center on Crime Prevention and Control was recently profiled by CommonWealth magazine. In a follow-up to the article, Kennedy participated in a video chat with Michael Jonas, Executive Editor of CommonWealth. They discussed urban gang and gun violence in American cities and how community outreach can play an important role. Professor Kennedy outlined key steps and core messages that must be addressed in order to dramatically reduce crime rates.
The Center on Crime Prevention and Control fosters innovative crime reduction strategies through hands-on fieldwork, action research and operational partnerships with law enforcement, communities, social service providers and other practitioners.
