Three John Jay Faculty Members Recognized as Outstanding Teachers in CUNY’s Salute to Scholars

The latest CUNY Salute to Scholars magazine is devoted to the University’s outstanding teachers. Three of the nine CUNY faculty members highlighted in the cover story are John Jay College professors. The faculty recognized for their work in the classroom are: Dara Byrne, Associate Professor of Communication and Theatre Arts and director the William E. Macaulay Honors College at John Jay; Anthony Carpi, Professor of Environmental Toxicology and Interim Associate Provost for the Advancement of Research; and Kimora, Adjunct Associate Professor of Law, Police Science and Criminal Justice Administration. All of the professors featured in the story have received special acclaim for their instructional acumen from Carnegie Foundation, Presidential and Chancellor awards to recognition by The Princeton Review.

“I am delighted that this issue of Salute to Scholars recognizes some of the exceptional faculty whose teaching has garnered awards and acclaim. I commend all of our faculty for their efforts to improve student progress through innovative, dedicated instruction,” noted Chancellor Matthew Goldstein.
