David M. Kennedy, director of the Center for Crime Prevention and Control at John Jay, had an op-ed published in The Daily News on July 15, 2013, titled “Getting beyond stop-and-frisk: Another tactic has been far more critical to making neighborhoods safer.” In the piece, Kennedy discusses the innovative group-focused approaches that are reducing homicide even further in New York City.
