Professor John Gutiérrez in the Department of Latin American and Latina/o Studies appeared on Univision Noticias 41’s evening Spanish-language newscast to discuss the New York City Primary Day Election results and potential runoff.

Professor Gutierrez’s academic research focuses on the history of Cuba and the Spanish-speaking Caribbean during the 20th Century.  He has worked in the non-profit sector and as a political consultant  on campaigns ranging from the New York City Council to the New York State Legislature, from the New York City’s Mayoral races of 2005 and 2009 to the New York State Gubernatorial election of 2006.
