Professor Edward Paulino Quoted in The New York Times About Citizenship Status of Haitians in the Dominican Republic

Professor Edward Paulino in the History Department was quoted in an article on the front page of The New York Times, titled, “Dominicans of Haitian Descent Cast Into Legal Limbo by Court,” by Randal C. Archibold. The article discusses the controversial Dominican Republic’s Supreme Court ruling that the children of undocumented Haitian migrants will no longer be entitled to citizenship.

His research interests include: race; genocide; borders; nation-building; Latin America and the Caribbean; the African Diaspora; and New York State history.
