President Jeremy Travis Discusses National Research Council Report on PBS’s Newshour; Study Garners Widespread Media Coverage

PBS’s Newshour interviewed President Jeremy Travis about the report “The Growth of Incarceration in the United States: Exploring Causes and Consequences,” released April 30 by the National Research Council’s Committee on Law and Justice. President Travis was named chairman of the NRC committee in 2012, with one of the committee’s top agenda items being the publication of an analysis of the high incarceration rate in the U.S.
