President Jeremy Travis was interviewed on NY1’s “Inside City Hall” and “New York Times Close Up” about the National Research Council’s Committee on Law and Justice report titled, “The Growth of Incarceration in the United States: Exploring Causes and Consequences.” The Committee, chaired by President Travis since 2012, provides a comprehensive evaluation of scientific evidence on the effects of high imprisonment rates on public safety and crime prevention, as well as their effects on individuals and communities.
