Professor Adam Berlin’s Letter to the Editor Published in The New York Times

Professor Adam Berlin in the Department of English had his ‘Letter to the Editor’ published in The New York Times Book Review section. In “Literature and Tragedy,” he writes about the difficulty of publishing work the centers on a national tragedy such as the September 11 attacks.

Berlin is the author of a post-9/11 novel, The Number of Missing (Spuyten Duyvil Press, 2013) as well as Both Members of the Club (Texas Review Press, 2013), Belmondo Style (St. Martin’s Press, 2004) and Headlock (Algonquin Books of Chapel Hill, 2000). His stories and poetry have appeared in numerous journals.

He co-edits, along with Professor Jeffrey Heiman, J Journal: New Writing on Justice, John Jay’s literary journal.
