Professor Peter Moskos Featured on New Greek TV

Associate Professor Peter Moskos of the Department of Law, Police Science and Criminal Justice Administration was featured as “Greek of the Week” on New Greek TV where he discussed his book, Greek Americans: Struggle and Success (Third Edition). Professor Moskos’s father, sociologist Charles Moskos, wrote the first and second editions of the book which examines the history, strengths, conflicts and contributions of Greek Americans.

In the New Greek TV article, Moskos discusses his time as a Baltimore police offer, his scholarly work including Cop in the Hood and In Defense of Flogging, and his Greek heritage. To read the article, click here.

In addition to his duties at John Jay College, Moskos is a faculty member in CUNY's Doctoral Programs in Sociology and Criminal Justice and specializes in police culture, crime prevention, qualitative methods, and ending the war on drugs.
