Tina Brown Live Media, in association with John Jay College of Criminal Justice, today announced The American Justice Summit — a series of panels and conversations that will explore the personal, social, and financial inequities of a prison system that currently incarcerates over 2.3 million Americans. The American Justice Summit will convene on Monday, November 10th, in the Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, 524 West 59th Street, New York, NY.
Sponsored by Credit Suisse, the Ford Foundation, and the Investigation Discovery Network, the Summit will focus on a growing consensus around the urgent need for reforms to the criminal justice system, from the perspective of those who have been affected by it and are trying to change it.
“Criminal justice reform is a burning national issue,” says Tina Brown, Founder and CEO of Tina Brown Live Media. “The mission of this Summit is to shine a light on an accelerating crisis and showcase the people who offer creative new solutions.”
