President Jeremy Travis and Student Veterans Celebrate Veterans Day with Ringing of NASDAQ Opening Bell

In commemoration of Veterans Day, for the second consecutive year, President Jeremy Travis rang the opening bell at NASDAQ OMX Stock Market. At the President’s side were John Jay student veterans, Peter Beshar, Trustee of the John Jay College Foundation Board and Chair of the Veterans Committee of the Board, representatives from companies participating in John Jay’s Veterans Corporate Roundtable and veteran-friendly corporations listed on NASDAQ.

On the same day, John Jay College was once again recognized as a “Best for Vets” institution with the 2015 national rankings of 600 colleges and universities by Military Times magazine. This year, John Jay ranked #3 nationally, up from #16, ahead of all New York colleges and universities, and the only City University campus to make the list.

Members of the John Jay community who participated in the NASDAQ event include the following.
