Professor Edward Paulino Quoted in Al Jazeera About the Hispaniola Border Town of Dajabon

Assistant Professor Edward Paulino of the History Department is quoted in an Al Jazeera article titled “Friendship Bridge Over Dajabon Massacre River” about the commercial border ties between Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Dajabon, Dominican Republic is highlighted as a prosperous trading hub on the border between the two countries.

Professor Paulino teaches a wide-ranging number of writing intensive interdisciplinary courses. His research interests include: race; genocide; borders; nation-building; Latin America and the Caribbean; the African Diaspora; and New York State history. His research has been supported by the Fulbright Foundation, the National Endowment for the Humanities, the PSC-CUNY Research Foundation, and the New York State Archives.
