Sgambati, Albert

Albert Sgambati teaches at John Jay’s undergraduate program in Anthropology. An editor for the journal Dialectical Anthropology and an award-winning novelist, Sgambati has worked for years in Latin America as a journalist covering health, trade and development issues. He has lectured in International Relations at Alliant International University’s Mexico City campus, where he also hosted a Speaker’s Forum (public symposium for members of the foreign diplomatic corps). As an advocate for the immigrant community in New York, he has been involved with the Center for Immigrant Education and Training at LaGuardia Community College, and assisted in the development and delivery of a workforce training and education program (BEGIN) sponsored by RFCUNY and HRA.
