Karen J. Terry is a Professor in the Department Criminal Justice at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and on the faculty of the Criminal Justice Doctoral Program at the Graduate Center, CUNY. She holds a doctorate in criminology from Cambridge University. Dr. Terry’s research focuses primarily on sexual offending and victimization, and she was recently the principal investigator for two national studies on sexual abuse of minors by Catholic priests. She is now working on projects assessing child sexual abuse within a variety of youth-serving organizations. Dr. Terry has also published in the area of policing, and is currently a Co-PI on two grants, Crime Decline in New York City and Criminal Justice Education in China
