| A study of the legal problems in the private security sector. Included is a review of the powers and restrictions on “private police,” e.g., arrest, search and seizure, eavesdropping, and a comparison with the powers of law enforcement agencies. Civil liabilities of private security personnel are studied as well as other aspects of civil law. Licensing statutes are also analyzed. (Offered fall semesters.) |
