LAW 320. Seminar in the Law of Search and Seizure
An intensive study of the law of search and seizure as it affects the private citizen and the law enforcement officer. An in-depth examination of court decisions which have followed seminal cases such as Mapp and Chimel. The rights of the individual and the corresponding obligations of the police officer are explored. Alternatives to the exclusionary rule are considered. (Offered every semester.)
