ATTENTION ALL F-1 STUDENTS GRADUATING MAY 29, 2008
*If you intend to
apply for Post-Completion Optional Practical Training (OPT), the
deadline to submit the application to the International Student Office
(ISO) is April 18, 2008. Please call 212-237-8199 to set up an
appointment.
*If you are transferring to
another school after the Spring 2008 semester, contact the ISO at the
new
school and ask for a "Transfer Release Form." Bring the form and your
letter of acceptance (from the new school) to the ISO at John Jay
College within 60 days of your
program end date (May 29, 2008). If your SEVIS
record is not transferred out to the new school within that time frame,
you will be out of F-1 status.

*If you are graduating John Jay College with a Bachelor's degree and you have been accepted to John Jay's Graduate Program for Fall 2008, contact the ISO for instructions on maintaining your F-1 status before May 29, 2008.
*If you are returning to your home country after graduation, you must leave the U.S. no later than 60 days from your program end date of May 29, 2008.
*If you are graduating John Jay College with a Bachelor's degree and you have been accepted to John Jay's Graduate Program for Fall 2008, contact the ISO for instructions on maintaining your F-1 status before May 29, 2008.
