To use eSIMS, your browser will need to be Netscape 4.x or
higher, Internet Explorer 4.x or higher, or AOL browser 4.x or higher.
Additionally,
in your browser's settings options, make sure you have enabled both
javascript
and cookies. Most browsers have these items enabled already, but if you
encounter problems with logging in, please
check those settings.
eSIMS is available for use 24 hours a day 7 days a week with the
exception
of a few early morning hours and certain Fridays when the system is
being
backed-up or updated. eSIMS will also be available for use on
John
Jay's
email stations, but there will be no printing capability. Some computer
labs may support its use (each lab will have its own policy) but none
support
printing; check with the individual lab. Your home is the best place to
access it, since you will be able to print your results and will enjoy
enhanced
privacy.
Your registration date and time can be viewed by moving your mouse
cursor over the "Registration" tab. Do not attempt to use the
registration capabilities of eSIMS prior to the date and time
indicated. If for any reason you are unable to register using ESIMS, please call the HELP DESK at 212-237-8878 between 9 AM to 5 PM during regular business hours.
Your ID is your Social Security number (no hyphens): 123456789
Your PIN (unless you have already changed it) is your 6 digit date of birth: MMDDYY
If you are having PIN problems you can come in person to the Registrar's Office for help (Be sure to bring your student ID) or call the DoIT Help Line at 212-237 8200. We cannot handle PIN issues by email.
