Generally students who have left the College is good
standing are readmitted immediately upon receipt of the application.
Students who left the College in less than good academic standing are
reviewed by the Readmission Committee prior to being readmitted. These
students may be required to meet with a counselor or other College
official prior to registering.

Please be aware that there are separate forms for Undergraduate
and Graduate Readmission.
Make sure you use the correct form.

Also, make sure to fill in your email address. This will
allow us to provide you with a quicker response on your readmission

Readmission - What You Need to Know |
-WHEN
MUST I FILE?
You must
file for readmission if you:
- were
absent (did not register) for a semester or more
-
registered last semester but withdrew (resigned) during
- the
first three weeks of the semester (Fall or Spring)
-IF I
DON’T REGISTER FOR SUMMER SCHOOL, DO I HAVE TO FILE FOR READMISSION?
NO. You
must file for readmission only if you miss a Spring or Fall semester.
-WHEN
SHOULD I FILE? IS THERE A DEADLINE?
YES, you
should submit your application & fee ($10.00 check or money order)
to the Registrar’s Office no later than two months prior to the
registration dates for that semester. Applications received after that
date might be transferred to the following semester for consideration.
-AM I
AUTOMATICALLY ACCEPTED WHEN I FILE?
YES - If
you left the College in good academic standing.
NO - If
you left the College in less than good academic standing. When you file
for readmission your academic record is reviewed by the Readmission
Committee.
-IF I
FILE FOR READMISSION AND I DON'T REGISTER, DO I HAVE TO FILE AGAIN FOR
THE FOLLOWING SEMESTER?
YES. You
must file a new application with another $10.00 check or money
order each time you file for readmission. The application and fee is
valid
only for the semester indicated (eligible) on the original application.
WHAT
IF I ATTENDED ANOTHER COLLEGE DURING MY ABSENCE FROM JOHN JAY?
