TWILIGHT: LOS ANGELES, 1992
Written by Anna Deveare Smith, the play is an example of documentary theatre; it consists of monologues taken from the real-life reactions of thirty-seven individuals to the acquittal of the police responsible for the Rodney King beating, resulting in the 1992 riots in Los Angeles. Performed by students, faculty and alums of John Jay College, the play is produced by The Communication & Theatre Arts Department and supported by OAR Community Event Funding.
